A team from JK Design, a creative and advertising agency with offices in Hillsborough and NYC, spent April 20 helping to build a house in Franklin Township, NJ, with Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity (RVHFH).
Eleven JK employees installed drywall in the future residence of Tania-Sue Thomas and her four children. Like all Habitat for Humanity homeowners, the family is actively participating in the building of their house.
“We started JK Gives Back in 2015 as a way to help our staff contribute to the community or a cause of their choice,” said Barbara Kaulius, chief human resources officer at JK Design.
The program grants each employee one day off per year to volunteer for a charitable organization or community effort.
