In an age where young people are brought up on a technological diet of mobile phones, iPads and Facebook, Dave Hartshorne is worried that children are not being taught how to transfer their knowledge into meaningful digital skills. He tells DAN ROBINSON what he’s doing to try change that

It is an issue that is the cause of much frustration for Dave Hartshorne, the founder of web design agency Dijitul, who believes young people aren’t being equipped with the skills of the future.

His passion on the matter is so strong that he has set about trying to create his own programme for training young people in the digital industry – while also speaking on panels including Will.I.Am.

“The problem is that there’s a lot of companies who know they need the web but don’t know exactly how to engage with it,” says the 32-year-old, of Mansfield.
